American Pulverizer laboratory mills have many of the construction features of our high tonnage units.  Each mill is built in our own shop on specifications to fit the application.  Before shipment is made, they are mechanically operated.  Every mill is sold on a guaranteed performance basis.   We are in the position to do this as we can make test grindings on your own materials in one of these mills in our testing laboratory.

Standard Features

Rotor assembly balanced statically and dynamically to .003"
Rotor shaft is 1-1/4" diameter, fabricated from 4140 heat-treated alloy
Hammer shafts fabricated from 1045 steel are 3/4" diameter
Liners held by countersunk recessed bolts with nuts on the outside of the machine
Cover liner is 3/8" thick rolled abrasion resistant plate
Back liner is 1/4" thick rolled abrasion resistant plate
Right-hand or left-hand design available
Machine is split at the horizontal centerline of the housing and is hinged to provide quick access to mill interior for maintenance purposes
Bottom housing designed for non-clog discharge
Discharge area comprised of a screen plate and screen cage assembly
Housings fabricated from steel plate with continuous welds
Direct connected or V-belt driven
Flywheel and flywheel guard provided
V-belt drive (if specified) includes the sheaves, belts, and v-belt drive guard
Optional structural steel base plate
