The American
Pulverizer reversible hammermills and impactors are ideal for
reducing foundry slag and sand, cement rock, silicon carbide,
potash, limestone, alumina, salt cake, fire brick, ores, glass
frit, and mill scale. The frame consists of plate steel
weldments that are rib-reinforced where shredding strains are the
greatest. All abutting surfaces are machined for a dust-tight fit.
The hammers are approximately 500-550 Brinell in hardness, and are
supported from heat-treated alloy steel hammer shafts. The machine
is lined throughout with renewable abrasion-resistant and
manganese steel liners. The bottom portion of the crusher supports
the cage assemblies which are furnished with steel single grate
bars designed to yield a uniform product. To control product size,
screw-jacks are provided on both crusher cages to allow for
clearance adjustment between the cage and the rotating hammers. A
tramp iron pocket chamber and actuator allows for simple removal
of uncrushables. The upper machine housing contains a hinged
access door on each end to allow for quick and easy entry into the
machine for maintenance and cage removal. Additional access
doors are located in the lower housing on each side of the crusher
for inspection and maintenance purposes. |
