The
AMERICAN PULVERIZER COMPANY Model SRS-36x156 Heavy-duty ‘Boss’
Auger Shredder is powered by a 200 HP electric motor which powers
the hydraulic system that incorporates a 100-gallon hydraulic
reservoir, hydraulic drive motor, hydrostatic piston type pumps
and necessary hydraulic controls. The working chamber of the
machine is 12’ x 9-1/2’ with overall diameter of the Auger
3’. The flights on the Auger are 1-1/2" thick manufactured
from T-1 steel. The Auger shaft is a solid design with a
reinforcing cylinder, which has a speed range adjustable from 0-38
RPM. The unit will develop 320,000# of thrust at the 5,000 PSI
working hydraulic pressure. There are replaceable bolt-in cutter
teeth made of 2" thick T-1 steel and the complete cutting
chamber is made of abrasion-resistant steel.
