The innovative non-contact
Tach-4A is the first portable
optical instrument to combine a high accuracy, wide range Tachometer,
multi-function Totalizer/Counter and a Timer (Stopwatch). Accuracy:
+ 0.0001 RPM
Range: 5 to 500,000 RPM
Memory: Maximum, minimum, last measurement Tach-4AR
available with remote sensing capability. Remote sensors may be
optical, infrared, magnetic or laser. The optional 0-5V TTL
compatible Pulse Output (PO) is supplied with a cable for BNC interface to
data acquisition equipment.

 Tach-4A
is menu programmable from a six button membrane keypad. A unique scaling
feature allows Tach-4A to function from one or multiple pulses per
revolution as a tachometer, ratemeter and totalizer/counter displaying
data in engineering units. The optional 0-5V TTL compatible Pulse Output
(PO) is supplied with a cable for BNC interface to vibration data
collection or other equipment. Tach4A is available with a remote
sensing capability. Monarch offers a full line of remote sensors including
optical, infrared, magnetic or laser.N.I.S.T. Traceable Certificate of

The Pulse Output is an option for both the TACH-4A and TACH-4AR.
This option includes a 2.5mm phone socket installed on the lens panel of
the Tachometer and a six foot cable with mating 2.5mm phone plug to male
BNC connector enabling the user to interface with a standard BNC
cable. The Pulse Output is a 0 to 5 Volt TTL compatible
output. Every input pulse gives an output pulse. Normally, the
Tachometer is used with one pulse per revolution, therefore the output
would be one pulse per revolution. If the tachometer is used with
more than one pulse per revolution, the output will echo the input, thus
providing more than one pulse per revolution.
